A future lawyer thinking about AI staff

Hi guys! I’m a student from Russia studying law. like a year ago i got interested in ecommerce and eventually got into AI! Right now I’m learning about AI from the law standpoint myself. In my country we don’t have many laws regulating AI but its very fascinating to analyze other countries experience in this sphere.

Actually there are many tricky questions to discuss: 1) How should we define AI from the standpoint of law?
2) Can an AI be an author? For example if a programm writes a text then who can be considered an author - a programmer/guy who created a code or a user or mayme a program supplier (company who owns the technology)?
3) What if a mechanism that has an AI in it deals damage to a person or a property? Who should pay the damages?

There are many more questions =) I hope this topic will be interesting and everybody is totally welcome to express their opinions and tell more about AI Law and literature that can be valuable here!
