Hi everyone,

Andrew Ng just released his latest letter introducing the AI Engineering Skills Map, synthesized from over 10,000 job postings and expert interviews. The research identified four critical pillars for developers today:

:rocket: Building and deploying AI applications

:gear: Software engineering fundamentals

:robot: Using coding agents

:brain: Shaping the build

As Andrew noted, relying on an agent without understanding software fundamentals leads to “vibe coding” rather than robust engineering.

Building and deploying AI applications

And I believe this is also an integral part of deeplearning.ai and what it offers in general, perhaps if we can have more courses that build ai apps, it’d be good!
