All-New Short Course ChatGPT Prompt Engineering for Developers

Thank you! Probably the most profitable hour of my life.
It’s humbling to see how far technology has come and to be able to learn from experts like Professor Ng and Isa. Ten years ago, I took a course with Professor Andrew Ng on Coursera, and today, even though ChatGPT can do in seconds what I spent years studying, I feel happy and motivated. It’s a testament to the power of continuous learning and the incredible potential of technology to make our lives easier and more productive.

The course is quite explanatory with its own pace and is well recommended for beginner developers who are looking to utilize ChatGPT in a much more efficient way. I will definitely recommend this course to my colleagues. The prompt techniques/methods which are explained in this course can be directly applied to ChatGPT to search results in a much more meaningful way. Thanks to the Creators and Backend Team for making this course fun and informative.

Hi there, I’m new to the community as well as this course. May I know where I can ask questions related to it ?

Thanks for this course!
I used the suggestions from the course to implement an experimental library (in PHP) to query Elasticsearch using natural language. I used ChatGPT API to translate the query in Elasticsearch DSL. Here the code: GitHub - ezimuel/elasticsearch-chatgpt-php: Use ChatGPT to search in Elasticsearch using natural language.

Now that LLM are basically production ready, will there be jobs (excluding research) about “low level” NLP?

Just took the course and loved it! It created so much excitement in me, and a feeling that I can now bring some of the ideas I’ve had to reality. Ready to crack on
Thank you very much.

Awesome course. I did find a few issues when i tried running these locally:

  1. rate limits on the free openAI api keys prevent some exercises from running without tweaking the code.
  2. the “English pirate” translation didn’t work until i changed it to just “Pirate”
  3. the order Chatbot just spins when i type something in, i haven’t figured out exactly what the problem with that one is, yet…

Thanks for making this available !!!

Hi everyone!
Does the OpenAI Python package work on Google colab enviroment? I´ve tried to run the setup on Google Colab but “No module named ‘openai’” error arised. I really appreciate your advice for start using the code.
Thanks in advance

Hi, Could you suggest more courses to learn about ChatGPT?

excellent course, thank you very much for sharing it… with this course I started this adventure of learning prompt engineering…

one video is not working -

Anyway, and this is just a comment, you can do it in one afternoon… Both Isa and Andrew make it so enjoyable that even without feeling the time is over and you are left with a lot of knowledge to develop your professional or private projects. The course is excellent!
