Aws link is not working

this link is not working also i am not able to reset the content structure of the lab file using reset option

@Kajalshah What do you get when you press that “Go to AWS Console” link?

nothing… it is not opening any window

Can you copy the link and paste in another tab in your browser? Please let me know what happen when you do that.

@pastorsoto i am not able to copy the link otherwise i would have opt to go with what you suggested. Even if I click on link it is not opening the page. i am not able to copy the link

@Kajalshah Could you run this in lab’s terminal, please:
cat ../.aws/aws_console_url
It’s supposed to give you the required link.

@juliak nothing comes up

is there a way to reset the whole lab so that such issues get resolved

@Kajalshah

The AWS environment resets when your lab’s time limit expires. It won’t store any of the data or work you did.

For the code, there is an update lab button on the right side of your screen. You can save your files in a different folder, click Update Lab, and a new copy of the assignment will be created.

Please let me know if this helps.

Lab resetting options are hidden under that ( ? ) at the top panel.

I think that “question-mark inside a circle” is called “Lab Help”, if you hover your mouse over it. It’s entirely non-obvious.

@pastorsoto I tried the option you suggest yet the link to access the aws it not coming up

@juliak i also used ‘lab resetting options’ but the link is still not getting generated. not sure how can i get this link functioning and reset the missplaced content in the instruction file

Among the things you must do for a full reset is to not touch your session for at least 2 hours, so that AWS will time-out the session and clear all of the assets.

@TMosh yes… i am following this. i reset lab and still getting this

Yes, I see you already posted that image.

I just had a suggestion of one common issue. I don’t have any other tips to offer (I’m not a mentor for this course).

@Kajalshah is there any step you did previously? Can you create a new python cell and type aws_url

@Kajalshah another idea (variation of “restart the lab”) -
clear your browser cache or open a fresh Incognito/Private window (AWS login cookies often clash with lab credentials). Start the lab again.

@juliak i cleared cache yet the situation is same

@pastorsoto i tried “aws_url” in a new code cell and it returned blank.

From all the options so far I believe that aws_url is blank so is it possible that the token is expired and it is not getting generated even if i reload the lab? If that is the case what should i do?

@Kajalshah here is the lab reset form for you

@juliak i have submitted the form
