Is there a “best method” for downloading the lab notebooks for working with some of the great functions that you help us build offline… in our own installation of Python and Numpy? I understand that there is probably some desire to keep some of the content protected (test data, etc.).

Is it best to use ipynb files, or just py ? I don’t think we can download the pdf version of the labs (which has all of the great LaTeX formulas, etc…)

Use the “Lab files” tool and you can download all of the files as a zip archive.

Note that to run the labs locally, you will have to install exactly the same versions of the tools and packages that Coursera Labs provides.

[Here’s a thread](https://community.deeplearning.ai/t/downloading-entire-assignment/122407/2) that gives the procedure Tom mentions, although it’s basically just one click.

There are no “official” instructions for installing the required software on your local system, because there are just too many permutations of what your local environment could be. But [here’s a thread](https://community.deeplearning.ai/t/dls-1-my-own-project-in-pycharm/74781/4) with some useful pointers to get you started down that road.
