Typically this means that your notebook has been modified in such a way that the grader cannot find the metadata that tells it which cells to import.
This can happen in several different ways. Any of these can cause your notebook to make the grader unhappy:
- Moving any cells within the notebook.
- Deleting any cells, then trying to restore them.
- Adding new cells.
- Downloading the notebook so you can work on it on another platform, then uploading it back to Coursera for grading.
- And about a dozen other things.
The cleanest way to fix this is for you to rename your notebook (using the File menu), then use the Lab Help and the “Get Latest Version” tool.
“Lab Help” is the question mark inside the circle, in the upper right corner of your browser.
After you get a new version, you’ll need to close your browser window and then re-start the assignment.
You can look at your old renamed notebook, but do not copy any code from it. Doing that can bring the same problem into your new notebook.
