CITATIONS

Hi,

Along the very interesting lectures of the second week Dr. Andrew Ng recommend us to complement them by reading several papers from different authors. Where can we get the full citations, so that we can find them.

Many Thanks

Joan Parés

An internet search would probably be rewarding.

Sometimes he gives you enough to find it in the lower left corner of the screen as in this screenshot from the Inception Network Motivation lecture:

In the cases in which he doesn’t, google can usually find them for you. E.g. searching for “residual networks paper” gets you this link:

Residual Networks

But it is a good point that we should just do the searches once and for all and create a pinned “Bibliography” thread. As homework for that project, here are some more papers that I found just by googling (e.g. “LeNet-5 paper”) or from references Prof Ng included as shown above (plus google of course):

Inception Networks

LeNet-5

Network in Network (1 x 1 convolutions)

Krizhevsky et alia ImageNet paper

VGG Net (Simonyan et alia)

I’ll take a look at Weeks 3 and 4 next.

But as Tom says, the real takeaway here is “Google is your friend”. Or as Chevy Chase might have put it back in the day: “Our top story tonight: Google can find stuff.”
