I am 16 and new to ai development and wanted to know if I can still have my own business with ai development knowledge or will i have to have a job for my whole life to put the skill to use.

It’s always possible for the suitably motivated and skilled individual to start their own business.
Understand that owning your own business is even more complicated than being an employee. Running a business while doing all the technical work yourself is a very big challenge. It requires a wide range of skills to do it well. Many sole-proprietor businesses crash for exactly this reason. But it’s great if you have the capability.
Some people like the security of a job surrounded by lots of people. Some relish working solo.
AI technology continues to evolve rapidly. It’s impossible to say what changes in the state of the art lie ahead. You have a long way to go, and a lot will happen along the way.
I recommend you be ready to learn and adapt continually.

Why not? There are many unsolved problems around us, but we need to observe/discuss them out. Before then, learning is a preparatory step. After that, learning accompanies you on your journey.

yes i understand that but i have a reason for wanting to become so successful i come from a very poor family and have been through a lot so i have no other option other then to succeed and won’t wait

When I was a similar age to you the profession I now practice - Agile Coach - did not exist at all. So I’ve been working in IT since the beginning, but what I do has changed over the course of my career - what works very well is flexibility and willingness to learn new things.
On the other hand, people running their own business have always been there, and this is not expected to change in the foreseeable future.

Absolutely! At 16, you can definitely start your own AI development business. Many successful entrepreneurs began their journeys at a young age. With the right skills, dedication, and a passion for AI, you can create innovative solutions and offer services to clients or develop your own products. While gaining practical experience through a job can be beneficial, it’s not a requirement to have a fulfilling and successful career in AI development.
But remember, to have a successful business, you must have a supporting companion with you to take the right decision, taking decision alone is not possible.

Just go ahead and do it. Having your own business is hard, sure. Life is hard, and still we figure it out.
Stop asking for permission and/or opinions in this kind of forums, you’ll only get people’s fears, motivations, traumas, dreams. I’m not saying having those is bad (or good), it’s just it’s theirs and only theirs.
