You are right, I am also having the same issue, but this is not course 1, it’s course 2! Let me contact the staff again.
Conda activate assignment bash: conda: command not found
Hi all, sorry for the late response.
I’m looking into this to fix it as soon as possible. This is an issue with a very old version of python (2.7) and our Docker settings in our learning platform. This might take a while.
I would like to point that this part is not graded, only part 2 of the assignment. So, even though this is not the best experience, this shouldn’t prevent you from getting full grade and completing the course.
I let you all know once the issue is completely fixed.
This issue was originally reported Dec 2025, but I am also seeing this exact same problem. 4 months have elapsed.
What is the status on this issue, please?
Should I just attempt assignment_part_2 without using conda?
Hi there,
The first part seems not to have any effect on the grader, so for the completion of the assignment, you should go to the second part. @lucas.coutinho I wonder if have any updates on these commands…
Hey all, thanks for pointing this. We’re still working on it, due to constraints in our learning platform, we’re facing issues with working with conda / virtual environments in the docker image. As stated in the assignment instructions, only part 2 is graded. This is not the best experience, but for now you can just submit part 2 and get your grade. I will remove the part 1 for now, until we don’t find a solution.
Greetings
I got the same issue. I want to mention that the instructions for part 2 also say “activate environment“.
But more importantly, as mentioned in another thread in this forum, clicking submit gives you 100. In other words the assignment is already solved. I guess this was done intentionally as a temporary fix? In that case, maybe it is good to write this in the instructions file so that new students would know.
Thanks
Yes as QA said above its temporary they are working on it to integrate it properly…
Perhaps instructions would be useful but he said they are working on it to fix it.
