One guess would be that this is a problem with your browser. For some reason the MathJax plugin is either not loaded or is not functioning correctly. Do you see any other problems with LaTeX rendering in general or is it just on this one quiz?

It’s not unusual for browsers to have problems rendering LaTeX notation.
Usually it can be fixed by clearing your browser cache and cookies.

What “other than above posted question” are you referring to ?

Issue was only with one question
