Hello from a MLEP Mentor

Hello!

My name is Carlos Hernandez-Vaquero, come originally from Spain (Salinas, Asturias), but have lived the last ~10 years in Denmark (Aalborg) and Germany (near to Stuttgart). Feel free to write to me in Spanish, English or German (in that order of preference :slightly_smiling_face: ), but please don’t expect any reasonable answer if you write Danish.

I work at Bosch as Program Manager for Data-Centric SW. My interest areas are AI and IoT (aka AIoT). This means, bringing AI inferences to the very edge, while training remains in the cloud/compute clusters. For this reason, I founded and organize the TinyML community in Germany (feel free to join !) and also currently make a PhD in the same topic in my free evenings and weekends (Covid helped somehow with this ). I also like to do small PoCs (Proof of Concepts) with ideas which come to my mind, so I recently bought this domain to link my creations (though not much available there yet): http://ai-mvp.com

I am not very active in social networks, except LinkedIn, feel free to connect: https://www.linkedin.com/in/carloshvp

But why am I here? I graduated from the Deep Learning Specialization and was invited to become a DLS Mentor, since I believe the DLS is the best Deep Learning training any new student may get. Due to my job, I am actually nearer to ML in Production than the actual mathematics behind, so now I also joined as Mentor in the Machine Learning Engineering for Production (MLEP) specialization. I hope I can learn from other mentors as well as help other students the best I can.

Please introduce yourself and see you around!

Godaften! My name is Ewa and I work as an ML Engineer for a robotics company. I am also a gradute of some of the Coursea content on Deep learning as well as a Self Driving Car Nanodegree at Udacity and I audit many courses at the University of YouTube.

Great to have you here @EwaTheThird !
