Software engineer with many years of experience. Trying to figure AI and how to use it. Any recommendations on the courses?
What exactly do you mean by “how to use AI”?
For example:
- Do you want to know how to use “AI” tools to write software?
- Or do you want to understand the nuts-and-bolts of how complex machine learning algorithms work?
They’re entirely different courses of study.
Like @TMosh said, course recommendations will depend on what path you are interested in, whether you want to learn how to make use of AI in your day-to-day tasks as a software engineer or if you want to learn how a computer can learn from historical data to predict the future (Machine Learning) and go from there onwards to other things like how large language models like the OpenAI and Anthropic ones work.
Considering your many years of experience as a Software Engineer, I believe route one may be more appealing to start with, let us know if that is infact the case and if you have some background in programming with Python and we can accordingly recommend courses for you.
