I’ve been building small website tools for a while, and one thing keeps coming up: people want a chat box on the site, but they don’t necessarily want another hosted service, another monthly bill, or an API key sitting in the browser.
So I built a browser-first sales widget that starts with local answers. You can load common questions, product details, suggested prompts, links, and simple next steps directly in the widget. If you later want model-powered replies, it can call an AI endpoint that you control; the provider key stays on your side rather than in the page.
I built it as a small self-hosted package for independent sites. It includes TypeScript source, ready-to-host builds, a browser-only Setup Studio, and install notes for plain HTML, Next.js, WordPress, Webflow, and Shopify.
The honest limitations: this is not hosted AI, model credits, an API key, a SaaS dashboard, CRM, lead storage, email, or an installation service. It also doesn’t promise more conversions or revenue.
