Welcome to discourse and thanks for your question.
I do not know exactly what caused the error message, but could you please check the following:
- Are you logged into GCP with the student account (and not your personal account or another one)?
- Was the MODEL_BUCKET name properly copied from the created bucket in Cloud Storage?
- Where you still within the hour of Google Cloud time given for the assignment or was the Lab time possibly expired?
I just went through the lab and with these checks it should work fine. If you still have issues, please let me know and I can escalate.

Maarten, thank you for your fast reply. I originally did not select single region. That may be the problem. I went back and I got full credit so I am good. Thank you.
