Will these courses teach me Python from scratch or assume prior knowledge?

None of the specialisations/courses in our catalog will teach you python from scratch. Courses like DLS and MLS will show you how to code in python with respect to AI/ML/DL, which is somewhat different than traditional python coding as all of this is done in Jupyter notebook.

From my own personal experience, I had zero knowledge of Python when I took DLS, but I was able to understand all of it as the coding starts from the very basics of AI/ML/DL and I had priori experience with C++ (that is to say, I knew how to do programming, logic building, the rest was google-ing how to do it in using python syntax. I learned Python from doing that). If you have previous experience with any other programming language, you can take DLS and/or MLS as you’ll be taken step by step throughout and will have a lot of help in terms of instructions and hints in the assignments.
