I’ve been working professionally for decades, and have a bit of knowledge around some AI topics, as my Dad was in the field, since the 1960s. He’s long passed away, but he left me with an interest in the field, and I’ve been peeking into it every five or so years.
I’m very interested in forecasting, and have a background that includes many “computer technology fads” but recently has been focused on big data and data science.
What are the currently respected certifications / courses that are widely known in the field?
A very common entry point to machine learning are these DLAI courses (offered through Coursera):
Machine Learning Specialization (a basic introduction to ML techniques using the Python language).
Deep Learning Specialization (an intermediate level continuation of the MLS materials). It includes image analysis methods (using Convolutional Neural Networks) and Sequence Models (using Recurrent Neural Networks). It uses TensorFlow (a Python package for deep leaning methods).
