# L3: Multi-agent Customer Support Automation - The default allow\_delegation=True changed

Hi,

Going through the L3 code example, the notebook says:

- By not setting `allow_delegation=False`, `allow_delegation` takes its default value of being `True`.

In the video of the lesson, Joao then shows how the QA agent requests more things from the Senior Support agent. At the beginning I wasn’t finding the delegation messages on my execution, but after a more careful exploration of the logs, I did.

In the process of debugging, I took a look [at the docs of CrewAI](https://docs.crewai.com/en/concepts/agents), and very interestingly, for the attribute `allow_delegation`, it reads `Allow the agent to delegate tasks to other agents. Default is False`.

In other words, the default value was changed from `True` to `False`. To confirm this, I downloaded [the source code](https://github.com/crewAIInc/crewAI/releases/tag/0.28.8) for v0.28.8 (the one installed at the beginning of the notebook), and the docs used to be:

| **Allow Delegation** _(optional)_ | Agents can delegate tasks or questions to one another, ensuring that each task is handled by the most suitable agent. Default is `True`.

I checked in more detail the CrewAI page, and the change was introduced in [v0.60.0](https://docs.crewai.com/en/changelog#v0-60-0). I find it interesting because it feels like a major change, though it was not considered as such by the team developping CrewAI.

Anyway, thought it could be interesting to share! 😃
