Lab 1 Not Launching – AccessDeniedException for datazone:ListDomains

Hello Mentors and DLAI Team,

I am facing an AWS permission issue while launching Lab 1 (Generative AI Use Case: Summarize Dialogue).

Error message:
AccessDeniedException: User is not authorized to perform: datazone:ListDomains

AWS Role:
arn:aws:sts::406544386626:assumed-role/voclabs/user4670611

Region:
us-east-1 (N. Virginia)

Lab Platform:
Vocareum (launched from Coursera)

Browser & OS:
Google Chrome, Windows 10

Steps already tried:

  • Restarted the lab

  • Relaunched Vocareum

  • Verified the correct AWS region

  • Used Incognito mode

It appears that the Vocareum IAM role does not have permission to access AWS DataZone, which the lab is attempting to use.

Could you please update the lab IAM policy or advise on the correct workaround?

I still get AccessDeniedException for datazone:ListDomains on account 406544386626 using role assumed-role/voclabs/user4670611=Neaz_Ahsan_Chowdhury. I ended/restarted lab and tried incognito, still failing. Please update VocLabs IAM policy to allow DataZone actions for this lab.
