I am currently taking the course “Generative AI with Large Language Models” and I am experiencing an issue with Lab 1.
The AWS lab environment does not fully load after launching. The session appears to initialize, but the actual lab environment never opens. I am receiving an AWS CloudFormation session message instead.
I have already tried:
Refreshing the session
Relaunching the lab
Using an incognito browser window
Signing out and back in
The issue is still occurring.
I have attached a screenshot of the error/session information.
Could someone please assist with resetting or repairing the lab environment?
Thank you for the reply. The issue is simple: nothing happens when I click Start Lab. The wheel spins, and I get no connection to AWS. I am pretty experienced with AWS and Azure, and I know when there is a connection and whether an environment has been configured, as it is obvious when this happens. Again, nothing happens when I click Start Lab.
When you launch the AWS lab, please make sure to wait for the status indicator (the dot) to turn green. Sometimes this process can take a bit longer than expected, so it is important not to interrupt or refresh too early.
Could you also confirm whether the AWS dot eventually turns green on your side, or does it stay yellow without completing the setup? Sometimes it takes a long time.
Thank you for your response. I was able to successfully access and complete Lab/Exercise 1. I also submitted the assignment and verified the grade; however, the Lab 1 exercise in the course has not yet turned green to indicate successful completion.
Is this expected behavior, and if so, approximately how long does it typically take for the completion status to update? If not, would you recommend that I retake the lab?
The green circle on the AWS section indicates that you can now access AWS. It is not related to your submission itself.
If you have already submitted the lab, it has been graded, and you passed it, then everything is okay.
If not, then you need to reopen the lab again and wait until the dot turns green before accessing AWS. Sometimes this may take some time. Usually, the first time you open the lab and access AWS from Vocareum, it does not take long, but consecutive accesses may take longer because the system is likely performing cleanup processes from previous sessions.
Please wait until the indicator becomes green before proceeding.
