I’d like to ask those who have completed this course: Is it sufficient to learn all the foundational concepts of machine learning, so that I can confidently move on to other areas in AI?

Yes, you can move on, but the next course in the recommended sequence is the Deep Learning Specialization.

That gives background in a lot of the advanced methods that are used in image processing and generative tools.
