# Module 4 Capstone - Invalid or missing API key

I am unable to load data in Ex 2. I can successfully print an API\_KEY so there is an environment variable, but the request fails and it says that API key is missing or invalid.

You are right the key works. It was my own error. I forgot the params argument. There isn’t a None placeholder so I overlooked it. Thank you!
