Hello!

So, I’m in the week 3 of the Linear Algebra course. It looks like the grader has crashed. I don’t understand why, since I did literally the same steps as the week 2 assingment. I’ve tried everything… I’ve tried all the solutions that are on coursera and I’ve also tried Coursera’s chat. I’ve sent the program about 5 times and I always get 0/100.

this is the error:

Which is strange since the test cell are green:

Any help please?

I’m still stuck here…

Just tryed to delete the files and reboot the system. In the new lab I’m still having the same problem: the cells tells that I have the right answer but the grader gives me 0/100

Hi Yan,

What is your output for exercise 1 and 2? Perhaps you could share the output (but not your code) and I might be able to help.

Also - restarting the kernel sometimes helps. First save your work, then restart as per image below.

Cheers,
Andrew.

@awillshire hey, just restarted as you said but I’m still having the same error.

This is the output.

Hi Yan,

This seems correct. I’m sorry I can’t help further - can I suggest that you talk with the teaching advisors or mentors?

All the best with it,
Andrew.

@awillshire How I do that? Is there an e-mail or something? Coursera staff told me to post here.

Hi I did actually. Instead of trying to grade using the grade-up-to-here tag, I filled out the whole notebook without getting any feedback on it except the unit tests and then submitted the entire thing. It only worked once I had absolutely every part of the notebook filled out. Until then, it was consistently giving me 0/100.

Hi @yan_teixeira, sorry for the late response, I was out of office.

Please, can you make sure that you haven’t added any extra function in the code blocks? (an extra print function, or an extra call for some unittest function)

Also, please be sure that you haven’t re-defined any variable that will be graded. This sometimes happens when we try to debug something later on in the notebook.

These might break the autograder.

If you still faces issues, please let me know.

Thanks,
Lucas

Hey guys, I was facing the same issue, it seems that this particular assignment ( probably applies to all assignments) is very sensitive, so if you have touched something outside the GRADED FUNCTIONS, the grader may fail even though your code is correct. So you need to look for extra-spaces, blank lines, typos, or anything you may have accidentally introduced outside the graded code.
