I have worked it a great variety of fields from aviation maintenance, to information security systems, semiconductor research, materials science, electrical engineering, and most recently I was a field reliability and service engineer with Icon (construction class 3D printers). I could go to robotics but I feel AI is the better investment of my time. I believe that both the short and long term benefits of this new career direction are the best options old engineer can hope for going forward. I think my brightest future will be found down this road.
