Pivoting to AI: How I’m Preparing for a Career in AI Product Design and Operations

Hello everyone, I’m Gauss, and I’m excited to join this community! I work as an Internet operation manager with a focus on user growth and engagement. I have two main experiences in my career. First, I spent two years at an Internet advertising platform where I was responsible for growing B2B users. During my time there, we added 2,000 new B-end users and managed ad placements totaling nearly 10 million yuan. Second, I worked for almost three years at a software service company overseeing the user growth of a C-end product. Under my management, the user base expanded from 50,000 to 500,000 with around 10% monthly active users.

I’m now looking to transition into the AI field and am particularly interested in roles related to AI product operations or interaction design. To prepare for this shift, I’ll be dedicating the next six months to studying various deep learning and AI courses such as “AI For Everyone,” “ChatGPT Prompt Engineering for Developers,” “Machine Learning Specialization,” “Generative AI for Everyone,” “AI Product Management,” “Responsible AI: Principles and Practical Approaches,” “Natural Language Processing with Classification and Vector Spaces,” “Deep Learning Specialization,” “Human-Centered AI: Design,” and “AI for Designers.” Additionally, I’ll be engaging in practical projects each week.

I’ve also been running an online community focused on AI discussions for over six months now and regularly host events where we can share insights and ideas. If you’re interested in connecting or collaborating on any projects related to AI or just want to chat about our shared interests, please feel free to reach out!

Looking forward to getting to know all of you!
