Strength and Conditioning Coach learning about coding and AI!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new to coding and the AI world. I’m a strength and conditioning coach by trade and just like learning new things and expanding my horizons. AI clearly is the future and I’m curious to see how I can tie these skills in with my day job or maybe go even further!

Right on! Cool, are you already a strength and conditioning coach? I think AI is already capable in helping plan periodization cycles for athletes, recommend training regimes…but a crucial piece of this is having real-person coaches that understand how to leverage the recommendations of AI, while still applying their practical knowledge

Yes! I’ve been working as a strength & conditioning coach for the past decade. Also, you are correct in that AI can help to build out fairly competent programs given enough prompts to tailor the program and provide the proper constraints. What you say is true as well. I think the blend of a in person coach and ai is to have the coach provide the proper prompts to the ai accounting for real world scenarios, adapting to situations on the fly as you will ever hardly execute a program exactly as it is written (weather, injuries, fatigue levels, etc), and being able to provide kinesthetic cues if needed for exercise technique
