W4_A2_Y label reversed

In the week 4 programming assignment 2, in the section “5 - L-layer Neural Network”, the comment for the argument Y reads “containing 0 if cat, 1 if non-cat”, which is a reversed convention compared to other data sets used in the course.

Is it a typo here?

Yes, that is a typo. I’m sure you noticed that they got it right in the earlier two_layer_model case.

I think it’s also a mistake for them to say this in that same “docstring”:

X -- data, numpy array of shape (num_px * num_px * 3, number of examples)

This is general purpose code that will work with any number of input features. I notice that they specified this in a more general way in the two_layer_model case.

I will file a bug.
