I am getting lower loss than the expected output. (see below)
Shouldn’t this count as correct (or better answer) ?

Well getting lower loss is generally better (in case you talk about science) and it’s correct (in case you talk about grader for the assignment).

I don’t think so, because the random seed used in this notebook should guarantee that everyone gets exactly the same expected results as are listed in the notebook.

You can see this in the sample() function, for example:

… and also in the model() function:
image

So if you’re getting different results, they’re probably wrong, even if you have lower cost.

At the end of the notebook, you should get exactly the Expected Output as shown:

Thank you for the explanation. I assumed it should be deterministic.
I had issue with my code as I was not going over all items in the examples list.
