Week 3 Sequence Mo. Trigger Word: Why the new segment starts before the previous segment ends and The new segment ends after the previous segment starts

Why

  • The new segment starts before the previous segment ends and
  • The new segment ends after the previous segment starts.

Why is not ‘or’? We just need one to be fulfilled to have some overlap. Why ‘and’ is needed?
Can anybody explain this? Of course I cant write ‘and’ and I get all correct because assert is given with both conditions happening but in reality I just need one condition… or am I missing something
Thank you

The “new” segment could be either earlier or later than the current segment. They aren’t necessarily added in ordered sequence.
