@moeingheini @Emilio_Carranza thank you for the screenshots. We just made significant updates in the lab and it should be working now. Could you please try it again and let me know if there are any issues.

I am still facing the same issue.

@nihalxkumar were you able to create Cloud9 environment, load the files and start runing the script setup.sh? Could you please send the screenshot of the error that you are getting currently and some reference which step of the instructions brings to this erro?

same here

I tried to follow the guide despite the initial error, but I still received an ‘Access Denied’ error along with other issues

@moeingheini please exchange the placeholder with the output from the previous command, it should work then

@jessica-dlai perhaps in the next revision ‘AWS troubleshooting’ could be included as part of the official curriculum :grin: (Trying to spin here…). But, seriously to do DE on AWS, on some level it would be something a student, to actually practice, would need to know anyway.

ha ha ha , you are so funny .

@moeingheini :grin: I’m sure they are trying their very best. But it is an important lesson-- I mean imagine it is you yourself that is about to release a big new Data Science project for a client you have just finished, you’ve done all the testing you can think of, but there is always Murphy’s law.

Thus I think it is an important lesson to learn for you yourself. Have contingency plans for your contingency plans.

In any case, I am sure it will be worked out soon.

Worked. Thank you for the help! It was my mistake in some parts of the implementation.

@Nevermnd

Perhaps did you do the testing for DE course?

any course with third party environment comes with its own instructions and challenges until the user gets used to that environment, that’s when the dlai.staff is always available.

So thank you for entertaining the learner with your comments rather than addressing the issue.

Regards
DP

It worked! Thanks @esanina

[spoiler alert] There’s an exercise in course 2 that’s about troubleshooting connectivity issues on AWS. Joe wanted to make sure the learners get some practice with troubleshooting, similar to what a new data engineer would experience in the real world. But there’s always going to be real-world challenges that we can’t predict with third party platforms, like @Deepti_Prasad mentioned. Our team is here to support all learners if and when they run into any issues :slight_smile:
