AI in office management

Hey everyone,
I’m exploring ways to bring AI into the front-office side of a small dental practice I help manage. We currently handle tasks like patient scheduling, reminders, intake forms, and general communications manually or with basic software.

I’m curious—what are some practical, cost-effective ways AI could be integrated to make front-office operations more efficient? Have you seen or used any tools that automate scheduling, improve customer communication, or handle data entry?

Would love to hear what’s worked (or hasn’t) for others in similar settings. Thanks in advance!

Have you seen conversational agents from google and dialogflow cx ?

You might consider the patient’s views on this.

For example - if my dentist uses AI for patient communication, I’m getting a new dentist.

Thats reasonable enough

I guess a quick and uselful AI response is better than no communication or late responses. People can always take over the communication when the time comes.

We already send automated texts to our patients asking them to confirm etc and our patients have no issues with this. We also do step in if it is necessary. Are there any other ways to implement AI?

I don’t consider sending text messages based on a calendar event to really be AI - it’s just a script task. There’s no intelligence required for that.
