When the host asks us to switch the door given that we have already chosen some door, why does the probability change only when we switch the door?

My intuition says once we take out the host choice door, then we are left with only two doors and so the probability that a car exists in one of the two doors is 1/2. Correct me where I’m wrong.

The probability changes when you gain new information.
