How long does training normally take for course4w1 assignment, part 3, when training NMT model? When I first hit the run button, almost all epochs (20) took ~20 minutes. But then kernel died (I got an error, saying that kernel died unexpectedly). I restarted the kernel, restarted Chrome, then my machine, and tried a few times - for one epoch, the estimate is ~20 min, and we have 20 epochs. What is wrong there? Can I reduce the number of epochs, before training?
If the solution is right then the grader should not mind giving you full grades without completing the full training epochs!
Its probably got to do with coursera jupyter environment, maybe if you try after a few hours again should be ok I guess.
issue might be to check your translator codes as kernel used dies or disconnects when codes are not able to run in the alloted time.
So check your either previous grade cell codes or check the error you have got which will give you hint to where to look for debugging. or post the screenshot of the error you are mentioning.
