Hello
I’m having trouble in the step 2 to create the glue jobs for the transformation step.
I have already tried the method to only apply terraform apply method but it didn’t worked. I also double checked the parameters and they seem ok

Hello @felipeyamate
This is strange. Unfortunately, I couldn’t reproduce the issue. Are you getting this error after running terraform apply -target=module.transform_job
? Did you run terraform apply -target=module.extract_job
before this?
If possible, please try again with a fresh lab start to see if the issue persists.
Yes for both questions, I tried to just execute the terraform apply command also and it didn’t worked.
I have already tried 3 times to fresh start and the issue persisted.
4 times and still the same problem.
The first time I tried the exercise it worked but now everytime I work in the lab i get the same error
Hello again @felipeyamate
Can you please fill out the lab refresh form and try again after your lab is refreshed? You can also try deleting the databases from AWS Glue manually. Unfortunately, I myself am not able to test this right now because my lab too needs refreshing.
okk, I filed the request and i will try again later
thanks
Oops, sorry for confusion - I have this error in course 1, not course 2
Hi @felipeyamate , just checking in to see if you were able to retry the lab. My records indicate that our engineer has refreshed the lab for you. Let me know if you have any questions about this.
same problem @jessica-dlai
Can we schedule a call?
This is the only thing that I need to complete the course and has been more than a week since I got this problem for the first time
@Cristian_M_Amaya would you mind taking a look at this problem? We can schedule a call with Felipe if you think a synchronous trouble-shooting session will be helpful.

Hi @jessica-dlai and @felipeyamate, it seems the issue is due to the glue catalog database already existing from a previous run of the lab. I will look into how to facilitate the cleanup of resources for the capstone
Help! On the last certificate, I worked for several weeks, but something is not right. Firstly, the message “you exceeded your time” appears in lab 1, which I can no longer access. In the last lab, I got that. I obtained (view screenshot):
Hello @Leb12
The command you are running, namely aws glue start-job-run --job-name glue_api_users_extract_job | jq -r ‘.JobRunId’
is not correct. Please, refer to step 2.4 instructions. You need to get glue_api_users_extract_job
from terraform outputs, then you need to replace the value from terraform outputs in the command aws glue start-job-run --job-name <JOB-NAME> | jq -r '.JobRunId'
.
Hope this helps.
Ok, Can you send me a message once you finish the cleanup?
Thanks @Cristian_M_Amaya
Now I’m receiving this lab usage limit notification
My subscription ends on the 26th of this month and I would not like to pay another month because there is only 1 lab left, I am happy to schedule a call if necessary.
Hello @felipeyamate
Can you please fill another refresh form noting this issue as well? I don’t know if your lab has already been refreshed, but in case you get usage limit after refresh, another refresh is needed.
ok, completed form
@Cristian_M_Amaya @jessica-dlai any updates?
I tried again this morning and I can’t solve my problem.
I don’t think this asynchronous way is working, it’s been 14 days already guys, you should have already solved my problem.
Is there any other channel that I can find someone that can solve my issues?
