Chatbot open only chat not note book

Please help me to finish this class. My chatbot only has “chat”. First two days, I had chatbot opens up for me to exercise class materials. But now I only has only chat option. When I click chatbot, my notebook it’s not open at the bottom or side. I spent many hours with chatbot with chat fixing the problem but it hasn’t. Eventhough i couldn’t do anything it all marked as I finished it. Is there a person I can talk to or how to get a refund and doing different class. This is just a rip off. As soon as I paid, it’s not working. Frustrating learner Help!!!

can i share my screen now?

I’m not a computer savy to download through my laptop. So here we go with smartphone. When I click chatbot, only chat or the bottom of the screen picture. No notebook.

Have you tried clicking the “chatbot” icon to open the chatbot?

If you have clicked this, and the chatbot still doesn’t open, let me know.

@jin8, please understand the following differentiations.

  1. The chatbot you interact with in the chat window is NOT THE SAME as the LLM call you make in the notebook.

    What I mean by that is, they are two seperate “softwares” with distinct features. When you are using the “chatbot”, it can remember all of the previous requests you made to it. But the “LLM call” you make in the notebook, does not know what are all of the previous requests you made to it (it doesn’t remember them), it will only give you response to what you ask it while you are making the call.

  2. The chatbot or the LLM call is not aware of the contents of the notebook. So you cannot do things like, as seen in your image, ("LLM help my error in previous line")

    What you have to do here instead is that copy/paste the incorrect code from you previous cell into the “chatbot”, and then copy/paste the response given to you by the chatbot back into the code cell.

I’m sorry. I don’t understand what are you trying to tell me. I told you already I’m very beginning of this type. I only want to follow what they show me. This is a problem. I attached three screen shots. If you cannot help me, please take this to someone who can.

Thanks for sharing the screenshots.

If I understand your issue correctly, at a time, you are only able to open the notebook and the chatbot? And you want to be able to open the notebook, video and chatbot (at the bottom or side) all at the same time ?

If so, when you open the chatbot, click on this bottom to turn the chatbot into a popup

Another thing to note is that, although there is a difference in the user interface between the instructor’s chatbot and the one you see, they both function the same.

At least now you know my problem. However, even i do that it only pops up chat. Once I put one command as soon as I hit enter to try to next line, it won’t wok.

It doesn’t go to bottom or making bigger. I’m telling you something is wrong. First two days it worked. As soon as I paid, it won’t work.

What browser are you using?

Yes, it appears you’re using Chrome. That should not be causing any problems.

Firstly, if you want the video to appear, you have to click this icon.

As for the size of the chatbot when you “pop it out”, unfortunately, it cannot be changed. The chatbot opens according to the ratio of the screen you are using. If you have a small screen, the chatbot would appear small. If you have a bigger screen, it will appear bigger. Also keep in mind, if you have the notebook, chatbot and video all opened at the same time, the chatbot would open such that it doesn’t overlay the video.

Please know the user interface of Coursera and the user experience on Coursera (also subscription/refunds) falls under the umbrella of Coursera, and there’s nothing we (DeepLearning.AI) can control or do anything about it. DeepLearning.AI is only responsible for the course content.

Can you share a screenshot of it this ? I imagine, you can share a screenshot of the command that works, and the command when it fails.

Thank you. I’m not going to share again because every Screenshots i sent to Coursera were that Screenshots. Reason I know it’s a wrong because it worked first two lab sessions. And I thought, it’s very interesting so I paid. Every class i get in if all same. None of lab working but once I get out from that class it marked as completed it. Numerous hours with Chat to solve issue, i found it’s ridiculous. I couldn’t get help or talk to nobody until 20th of March. I’m done with Coursera. I will finish test not knowing what I’ve been learning. I’ll look for elsewhere. Courser is not for bigginner like me.
