Principle 2 states give ChatGPT time to think. However the example does not make it clear how you give it time to think. Is the ‘’’ a take time think indicator
Hello @cpw ,
"Give ChatGPT time to think "means that :
- You have to be patient.
- Don’t put up multiple questions one after the another very fast.
- You need to allow ChatGpt to finish responding to your question. Then only you can go for another.
Next thing, f " " " is not a time indicator. Follow this post to learn more about it :

@cpw, by giving the model “time to think”, we’re really saying we want to reframe the prompt to encourage it to not rush too quickly to a conclusion. In this example, we are helping it “slow down” by giving it a series of steps to get it to follow a better, more reasoned path to the solution.
In particular, we’re telling it to figure out the correct solution first to compare to, rather than “rushing” and “just skimming” the student’s response to see whether it looks reasonable.
In Simple words, it’s like ‘Validate/Think before you respond’
Great, so I can use this ‘’’ each time I want it to think. I have been finding that ChatGPT does not process my prompts correctly when I try to apply a table to previously entered details. I will include the ‘thinkíng’ text to see if that improves things as my prompt is pretty large as I used a database to create my prompt which is pretty long.
