Compression-Aware Intelligence (CAI) reframes compression from a solution to a diagnostic. CAI measures compression strain AKA the contradictions and incoherences that emerge when inputs cannot be reconciled. This provides a universal signal for detecting hallucinations and drift in both AI systems and human cognition
