Confidence score

For a classification problem, how do we calculate the confidence score for the predicted output? Is the probability predicted by the model considered the confidence score?

Hi Rishi6,

Confidence scores in classification problems generally refer to the probability a model assigns to a predicted class. Typically, classification models output a probability distribution over all possible classes, and the highest probability class is taken as the predicted label. In many cases, this probability is interpreted as the confidence score.
