I could not understand why the answer is 5 and not 4 for the above question.

there are two boxes on the top of the right corner since the area of the smaller one / bigger on <0.5, the IoU threshold is 0.5 so that u do not discrad that one.

Thank you . Understood now. I was just thinking about one box completely overlapped by the other and didnt think about the size.
