Cou's intro

Hello everyone, I’m from China. For compliance reasons in mainland China, I’ll be using my social media handle here: 渡辺甲 (Cou Watanabe). I’m a licensed pharmacist and also a long-time options trader/investor. The main reason I started learning AI is that I’m genuinely worried AI will eventually replace traders like me who rely heavily on personal experience and intuition. At the same time, I believe AI technology is going to ignite a massive new industrial revolution. So even though I’m not exactly an early adopter, I figure it’s still not too late to start. I only officially began my learning journey on January 12 this year. So far I’ve completed Python and the calculus/linear algebra parts needed for AI. Right now I’m just starting Week 1 of the Machine Learning Specialization. I’ll do my best to learn every piece of relevant knowledge I can get my hands on. I hope we can help and encourage each other here in this community. My English is not very strong, so my wording might sound a bit awkward sometimes — thank you in advance for your understanding and patience.
