Deeplearning.ai Pro subscription - does it include Coursera specializations

Hi everyone,

Does the newly introduced Deeplearning.AI Pro subscription include the possibility to get certifications for the Deeplearning.AI courses/specializations present on Coursera like RAG, Data Engineering, Gen AI for Software Development etc. ?

The DL.AI Pro subscription is entirely separate from Coursera.

@Ioana_T we will have more short course and long form courses on the DeepLearning.AI learning platform in the coming weeks.

Will you be including individual courses from the coursera specializations? I read in one of the posts that there will be learning tracks and beginners can also join. So far I have seen all fundamental math/ML/DL courses are only available in the coursera specializations, so will these be included in the pro membership at any point of time in future?

We are working on including the DeepLearning.AI specializations and courses in the learning platform. You can go to https://learn.deeplearning.ai/ and view all of the courses and specializations we offer at the moment.

If a learner is considering taking the DeepLearning.AI Data Engineering Professional Certificate that is being offered on Coursera, should we wait until it becomes available in the DeepLearning.AI Pro Membership?

If it is eventually offered as part of the DL.AI Pro Membership, will the Coursera one become deprecated?

At the moment, the Data Engineering Professional Certificate is only available on Coursera. If you’d like to start learning right away and would like to earn the Coursera certificate, we recommend enrolling directly through Coursera and paying the associated fee to obtain their official credential.As for the DeepLearning.AI Pro Membership, we’re still in the process of expanding the course catalog, and this program isn’t yet available there.

While we don’t have a confirmed release date, if you’re able to wait and don’t specifically need the Coursera-issued certificate, you’ll be able to take it through the Pro Membership once it’s added and receive a certificate issued directly by DeepLearning.AI.

To clarify, if the course eventually becomes part of the Pro Membership, the Coursera version will not become obsolete, they are hosted on separate platforms and offer distinct certificates. If you need a Coursera certificate, you can continue through Coursera; otherwise, you can take advantage of the DeepLearning.AI Pro Membership once it becomes available.

what about Coursera Plus Members who are DeepLearning Pro Members as well? Do they have to pay a third time for the DeepLearning Course enrollment in Coursera?

Yes.
DL.AI courses are not included in Coursera Plus.

Being a Coursera Plus member, i still have to pay monthly subscriptions for all DeepLearning.AI courses i take through Coursera site. Some of which are available at DeepLearning.AI as a part of the Pro membership.

Its a 2-way entry to the same course. My opinion is, there has to be some provision, to let my Coursera Plus membership utilize my DeepLearning.AI Pro membership and do the course from Coursera. Some DeepLearning.AI Pro (validity based) token in my Coursera Profile maybe? That expires and locks everything the day my DeepLearning.AI Pro membership expires.

It doesn’t have to be automatic. Something the user have to bridge himself from his Coursera account. The token and its validity will be done from the back-end.

Please think about it and I will be extremely happy to re-enable my DeepLearning.AI Pro membership
