Community Guidelines: Solicitation, External Links, and Other Forums
To preserve the educational integrity of our community, the DeepLearning.AI Forum must remain a safe place free from aggressive sales tactics, poaching, or fractured conversations.
Core Content Requirements
-
Relevance: All discussions, shared resources, and external links must be directly relevant to Technology and AI.
-
Prohibited Content: We maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy for gambling, betting, or wagering material. Do not link out to external gambling forums, applications, or platforms.
Strictly Prohibited Activities
-
Self-Promotion in Responses: Mentors and users are not permitted to promote personal services, paid consulting, or external business ventures within individual Forum thread responses.
-
Direct Solicitation: Avoid directly (DM) soliciting users for business or hiring contracts. Focus on offering helpful technical advice first to organically build your reputation within the community.
-
Promoting Other Forums & Platforms: The DeepLearning.AI Forum is our central hub; please do not invite users to join other external online forums, messaging groups, or private communities.
GitHub and Collaboration Exceptions
- Open-Source & Coding Collaboration: You are absolutely welcome to invite users to collaborate on GitHub by sharing your repository links for technical discussions.
The Core Rule: While sharing a GitHub link is encouraged, you must not deliberately try to transition, “lure,” or move the core conversation, troubleshooting, or educational Q&A away from the DeepLearning.AI Forum into external chat groups, private messaging platforms, or competing servers. Keep the learning here where everyone can benefit!
