Does ChatGPT really provide the correct answer always

I came across an article by Suchir Balaji where he compares the chatGPT use of training data where he mentioned the reduced use of stack overflow after ChatGPT came into use.

although his work for to raise concern fair use of training data to create generative ai models, this article seem worth a read

P.S. Suchir Balaji is no more with us in exploration of AI research but has left us with his contribution that he contributed in collecting the data for gpt4. R.I.P.

Chat gpt does not always provide correct answers but more often that not, the answers are better formatted and easier to obtain than via google or stack overflow specifically, people tend to use it much more than stack overflow.

I still don’t use chatgpt, because I noticed their response is more based on my questioning and more summarised where as when I search on google I get more varied response, for the ability to make one more correlative judgement on which response to my query is more specific and correct.
