I am into the first lesson of this course and could not follow what is purpose of introducing function call in openAI. They dont really execute functions when called, but why do we need them ?
I understood that the function only make model to reason in all the content was be trained to give us information about our problem in a structured manner. Later we can call the function to give more context to solve our issue with the obtained information. This is better when you use chains to do it autmatically. But for this first lesson, I understood, is to know how to do it step by step.
