I don’t understand why people were going gaga over prompt engineering!!
Looks like soft-prompt will make it redundant (for bigger models) or am I missing something?!

Totally get you! The both are great techniques in their own way and can be picked depending on what you’re working on. Plus, you can even mix 'em up for more control over your model. It’s not about one being better than the other, it’s more like having a toolbox full of different stuff to get the best out of your models.
For short, it really depends on what you’re working on.
