I am unable to get the intuition behind grid and random sampling of hyper parameters. What does the row and column mean in the grid and which value denotes hyper parameter 1 and hyper parameter 2. Kindly explain this in simple terms.
If you represent the choice of values for each hyperparameter on a separate axis, you get a grid for 2 hyperparameters.
Grid search picks a combination of each parameter pair for a run.
