Guidelines example "student solution" is wrong (correct)

Hi, on the Guidelines section, the example which “instructs the model to work out its own solution first” responds opposite than the video that the student solution is correct (it is not)
I have executed it like 7+ times, all times it says “correct”

Am I missing anything or it is a bug?
(on the video it says “Incorrect”- which is, ;), correct)

Hi @joslat,

I just ran the notebook and got it as “incorrect”. Maybe something in your notebook changed which shouldn’t have had, or maybe it was a temporary thing ?

Maybe try again and see what happens.

Cheers,
Mubsi

Tried it again, logging out, logging in, it works… still a mistery why it did not… repeatedly and consistently…

I’m having the same problem. Tried relogin and restarted the notebook kernel, still generates incorrect answer. I didn’t change the prompt but I’m wondering what extra instructions can be given to correct the output.

You’ve added a reply to a thread that has been cold for two years.

That is a bold strategy.

Sorry I’m not familiar with the community protocols, between “creating a new thread on the same problem” and “reviving an old thread on the same problem”, I prefer the later option. If my choice violates the protocols, I will be more careful in the future.

As a “Super Mentor”, I hope next time you can also provide some useful info such as the rules on replying to cold threads (if there’s any), or some help with the problems I have.

BTW my problem has been resolved so feel free to close this thread.

Thanks for your time.

I’m not a mentor for this course. As shown in my tag, I’m affiliated with the DLS (Deep Learning Specialization), not the short courses.

There are no rules about adding replies to old threads. You’re free to do so.

My reply was intended to recommend that starting a new thread is more likely to draw answers from the course’s active mentors. Mentors come and go with some frequency, so an old thread will not necessarily be noticed.

I hope you have a nice day.
