Hello from Silicon Valley — AI APIs, agents, and too much coffee

Hi everyone, I’m plasma. I’m based in Silicon Valley and work in developer advocacy, mostly around AI APIs and developer tools.

I started out as an indie developer, so I’m especially interested in the practical side of building AI products: choosing models, managing costs, building agents and automations, and figuring out which new tools are genuinely useful versus which ones are mostly hype.

Outside of work, I play weekend tennis far more seriously than my skill level justifies, go hiking around the Bay Area, and spend an unreasonable amount of time looking for coffee shops with reliable Wi-Fi.

I joined to learn from other builders, exchange practical lessons, and hear what people here are working on. Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Hey Plasma. Nice to meet you! In that case, I would definitely recommend you to take a look to models like GPT 5.5 (Codex, for reasoning and deployment), Opus 4.8 (Claude Code, for planning), Minimax Q3 (for low costs and developing new features). If you want to investigate tools, test them and then do a comparison between them, you can send me a message and we can work on it together, just let me know!
