Hi, I am a very big enthusiast of Machine Learning, but I am new to this field. I want to do the whole specialization of Machine Learning (3 courses) provided by DeepLearning AI.

After that I plan to build a tool, that will work as a recommender for users, to help them to benefit more from the system they use. The tool will analyze curent context, current data and will suggest users to make changes to their system in order to use it even more efficiently.

For example:

  • “In the past 7 days you were active more in the mornings, would you like to switch from your “default evening working time” to “default morning working time”?”
  • “In the past 14 days you were actively interested in gyms near you, would you like to add to your profile that you are interested in sports?”
  • “I observed you are using your app during night less, would you like to switch to the dark mode automatically after 23:00? You can find that in Settings/Mode/DarkMode”

If anyone has enthusiast to give me suggestions of what I can learn so I can use that knowledge for my project, I would be very thankful!

Hi @little_berry13, it is an interesting idea. Curious to know if you thought about all the data source you would be connecting for this recommender tool? I guess you will also need to consider connecting various systems say, personal accounts, work accounts and general browser usage data which might be challenging to link.

Hey @arunpalanoor, thanks for responding!

The tool will be build within a company, where I will do my internship in a couple of months. So all the data is stored internally by the company. They have a huge dataset about user data, their activity and so on, but I need to work it out somehow.

For now I don’t have details about how this looks like, and I won’t, until I will start my internship. So, at this point I will just have to learn a lot and be prepared for what they have for me.
