I’ve been in IT for over 20 years, and lately, AI has become a huge part of how I work—and think. I use ChatGPT pretty much every day now. It helps me troubleshoot faster, stay organized, learn new tools, and rethink how we do things at work.
I’ve learned Python, built a production dashboard to track downtime with AI’s help, and keep finding new ways to make systems better.
But honestly, it’s not just the tech stuff. I’ve had some great conversations about science, current events, health, mindset, even movies like Interstellar—and those have taught me just as much.
I’m here to see how others are using AI, pick up new ideas, and hopefully shift into a career that blends everything I’ve done in IT with where AI is going next. Excited to be here and learn with all of you.
Chat tools are essentially a gigantic but incomplete encyclopedia of random topics that were easily scraped from the internet, with the added feature that it will occasionally tell very convincing lies.
I would love to know how you’re using it to stay organized! I have a lot of tasks each day and find myself walking up at night remembering things I forgot
I, too, use ChatGPT daily for all sorts of things, from conversations about movies to podcast ideas I have, helping me with SEO for my Etsy side hustle to career coaching conversations. All the things!
Hi RobynL,
I have tried a few tools that were recommended by ChatGPT. The app I’m using right now is Trello. It’s very easy. I also like keeping my ChatGPT projects in folders. Feel free to reach out so that we can share more ideas.
