Hey everyone! I began taking the course today and came across this thread by @lucaswener on “Why are you here?”
This got me thinking and motivated me to build something with the knowledge I gain from this course.
Can anyone share any project ideas or research papers that I could implement while doing or on the completion of this course?

I am glad you found motivation here! 
I may suggest you something like “Image captioning” ? Try for example the Flickr8k dataset available on Kaggle! It combines both CNNs and RNNs. Or maybe if you want something else…try to do something with real time video by yourself, try to fire different commands on your computer based on your gestures? Something like a video-guided assistant?
